The ground stakes and the spiral connecting the 2 dragonflies on a double, and the spiral and counterweight on a single, are bare steel and will develop rust. If you do not want these rods to rust, simply spray with a clearcoat (urethane). The Dragonflies are stainless steel and will not rust. Each dragonfly comes with a 36 inch tall garden stake.
